You will be coaching all of the leaders assigned to you. We will have these leaders schedule their monthly meetings with you using Google Appointments. School leaders will be asked to schedule their monthly meetings for August through June at the beginning of the year, although many choose to schedule month-month. We have found that when leaders schedule for the entire year, it is one less thing for them to have to remember to do each month and requires less follow-up by a coach and facilitator. These meetings can be rescheduled through Google Calendar when scheduling conflicts occur, but for now please mark off any time you are aware of that will be an issue through next June.
TIPS:
- In your first meeting, if a leader hasn’t already scheduled meetings for the year, encourage them to do so. They may have missed the initial instructions to do so, or hearing it come from their coach may provide a bit more weight.
- Ask a leader for a day of the week and time that is generally good for their schedule (e.g, Tuesdays at 10am). You or your partner facilitator can then schedule the monthly meetings on their behalf at the same day/time. (They can always be rescheduled if a conflict arises).
- If a leader prefers to schedule month by month, leave 1 minute at the end of each Copilot session to have them schedule the following month’s meeting while you’re still on the virtual call.
