To ensure a diverse talent pool has access to open positions, consider the following steps:
- Attend local and regional university career fairs that are geared towards supporting and hiring historically marginalized groups. This will allow you to connect with a more diverse range of potential candidates and ensure that they are aware of job openings.
- Partner with organizations that support diversity and inclusion to promote our job opportunities and reach a broader audience.
To guide efforts toward diversity and inclusion, incorporate the school’s shared identity and vision for readiness into the recruitment process. Use the shared identity and vision to inform job descriptions, outreach efforts, and the candidate selection process.
