- For each support or opportunity identified by the leadership team, consider who is currently being supported and who is not, taking into account demographic factors such as socioeconomic status, race, program enrollment, gender, and LGBTQ+ status.
- Additionally, for each support or opportunity, examine how students become aware of it. Is there an individual or group responsible for disseminating information about the opportunity? For students who are underrepresented in these activities, what is their proximity and relationship with the individuals responsible for communicating about them?
- Assess what is required for students to participate in each activity. Are there barriers to entry, such as multiple signatures or approvals from multiple adults? For students who are underrepresented in these opportunities, what is their proximity and relationship with the individuals responsible for facilitating their participation? Is it easy for them to identify these individuals and approach them?
- Finally, consider who is responsible for providing the support or opportunity to students, such as counselors, coaches, extracurricular teachers, community-based organizations, CARE teams, or SIT teams.
