Webinar: Using Shared Identity to Connect Across Schools and With the Community

About This Event

This hour-long webinar will explore the central role of shared identity in connecting schools to each other and to the larger community, especially in rural areas.

With Todd Miller, Superintendent, Santiam Canyon School District.

Todd will discuss how a strong sense of identity helped the Mill City community get through devastating forest fires and the Covid-19 pandemic. Leaders will have the chance to reflect on their own school identity and its role in tying different segments of the community together.

Questions for reflection before the event:
How would you describe your school’s identity? How would a student, staff member, or community member?
How have you, or how might you, leverage your school’s identity when addressing community challenges?
