Coach Digital Portfolio

Starting in 2023-24, Portico coaches will be asked to complete a Digital Coach Portfolio. The portfolios will showcase growth and learning and allow space for reflection and sharing of best practices. The portfolio is still under development; more information and details will be provided as we roll out the portfolios this year. The Digital Coach Portfolio will include the following:

  • Complete Portico Coach (Re)Orientation ModuleĀ 
  • Provide three examples of Copilot coaching (agenda examples that include a reflection from the coach). These examples will demonstrate:
    1. Evidence of integration of key Portico concepts (Inflexion Approach, 5 Shifts, etc.)
    2. Evidence of annual goal setting with leader and progress monitoring
    3. Evidence of using Toolkit activities
    4. Evidence of notes, follow-up, and next steps for leaders.
  • Record a Copilot session and rewatch and reflect on your coaching using the following prompts:
    1. Provide a brief description of your coaching conversation for context;
    2. Describe the coaching skills and strategies that were effective for you in this Copilot. How do you know they were effective? Provide examples; and
    3. Share observations or insights you have about your coaching. What areas would you like to grow or develop further?
  • Provide one example of a robust Counterpart agenda and engagement
  • Engage in peer observation/simulation triads (using LEAD Observation Tool from Evocative Coaching)
  • Attend 8 of 10 coach calibration meetings throughout the year
  • Complete mid-year and end-of-year coach reflections
