| Experience | With over 12 years as a high school principal in schools ranging from 1,000 and 1,800, coupled with two years as an Executive Director of Secondary Schools in the Hillsboro School District, (I like this line: Ted Zehr brings a wealth of leadership expertise to the education sector.) With my roles as a principal and Executive Director in Hillsboro, I was additionally an adjunct professor at Lewis and Clark College, an AVID Staff Developer for new principals, and an AVID District Director for Hillsboro School District supporting 4 middle school and 4 high schools. Following retirement he continued his dedication to education by serving as an interim elementary school principal, an interim middle school principal, an interim high school principal in a very diverse community and assisting a small district in establishing an online school to meet the needs of students and families during the COVID-19 pandemic. I have also helped a small district set up an online school for students and families that preferred an online educational experience during and after COVID, and supported the largest district in Oregon as an interim senior area director. Additionally, I supported Oregon’s largest school district as an iterim senior area director, further demonstrating his commitment to foster academic excellence at all levels. Throughout my career, I have been deeply involved in teacher training and development, serving as an adjunct professor at Lewis and Clark College and as an AVID Staff Developer and District Director of the Hillsboro School District. Additionally, as a principal, thirteen of my assistant principals have gone on to be successful principals, district office leaders and one as a superintendent.
