Experience | Dr. Constantino Aguilar has served in education for 26 years. Within those 26 years, he has held the position of high school Spanish teacher, associate principal, principal, Executive Director of Technology and Innovation, and currently is the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services in the Merced Union High School District (CA). Dr. Aguilar has received several awards recognizing his service, including the “Honoring Our Own” award from the California Association of Latino Superintendents and Administrators organization, the Mentoring Minds California Administrator of the Year award, the Association of California School Administrators Region Principal of the Year, CTE Administrator of the Year, and District Principal and Co-Administrator of the Year. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Linguistics from Indiana University, a Master of Arts in Education from California State University, and a doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership at the University of Southern California. His dissertation focused on mentoring for public school administrators. Dr. Aguilar is a father of three and has been married to Julianne Aguilar, an Atwater High School Theatre teacher, for 22 years. He is a Dodgers fanatic, enjoys playing golf, and reading for pleasure. |
