According to the CDC, serious trauma and adversity affect up to two-thirds of children in the United States and poses a large public health issue. Experiencing trauma impacts a student’s development, long-term health, and ability to engage successfully in school. This Crowdsource Coffee will explore how educators can understand and support students—in particular, how school-wide systems can be more inclusive and responsive to trauma-exposed students.

The 2022-23 school year is coming to a close, and now is the time to take a beat, reflect, and look ahead to next year. In this Crowdsource Coffee, we will reflect on our goals and achievements in the past year, and discuss lessons learned around how to achieve the objectives we set for ourselves and our school communities. Other topics of conversation will include continuous improvement and self-reflection.
