February 19 @ 4:00 pm 5:00 pm PST

Presented by: Chad H. Thomas and Michelle Liebhardt

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has entered the education landscape, but how can it truly benefit teachers and students? This workshop is a place to discuss how AI can be a powerful tool to empower teachers, not replace them. We’ll delve into the real potential of AI in the classroom, showing how it can personalize learning journeys, provide targeted support for individual students, and free up valuable time for more impactful instruction. You’ll learn how AI can help identify unique strengths and weaknesses in each student, fostering a truly equitable learning environment.

Be ready to explore how AI can be used alongside proven strategies to ensure all students thrive, particularly those facing challenges. Through interactive activities, collaborative discussions, and real-world scenarios, you’ll gain practical experience integrating the best practices of education with effective AI tools.

In this workshop, we will explore:

  • Ethical considerations of using AI in an educational setting.
  • How AI can be used to empower teachers, not replace them.
  • How to use AI to help meet the needs of students furthest from opportunity.

By participating, you will be ready to:

  • Address critical questions surrounding privacy, bias, and the responsible use of AI in the classroom.
  • Use AI responsibly and ethically to empower educators and transform learning.
  • Leverage AI as a tool to support best practices.
