I am a high school educator with a career spanning over 20 years. I have dedicated her professional life to the betterment of students’ education and overall well-being. My journey in education has been marked by various roles from teacher to school site administrator, and district level administrator.  I began my educational career as a teacher and after a few years as an administrator, she assumed the role of principal at Ocean View High School. With an amazing team, we started initiatives that led to the school being recognized as a Knowledge Development Site for Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). This accolade highlighted Ocean View High School’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. Currently, I am the Director of Student Services and leads the MTSS team at the Huntington Beach Union High School District (HBUHSD). The HBUHSD has prioritized establishing meaningful connections with every student, valuing their individuality and unique stories. The district firmly believes that every student deserves equal opportunities to learn, grow, and become the best version of themselves. I know building strong relationships with both students and staff is crucial to achieving this vision, and that has become a cornerstone of the MTSS work in HBUHSD.
